Author Nathan Day stops by the studio to hang out and talk about his novels, the Orphan Saga. For Story Time, Nathan’s character takes a memorable trip back to high school at Sherri Watters’s Northwestern Miami School of Bitchcraft and Lizardry.
WWE Smackdown is coming up, but we have NO idea what that means. Our podcastin’ buddy Vincent “Vinny” Binstock comes over to help us out with this one. We chat about developing characters and storytelling in professional wrestling, and we get schooled in the basics. The “and his name is John Cena” sound clip is played. A lot. Vinny then faces off in a No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere Story Time against The Lumberjack, who may or may not actually be The Producer.
Filmmaker brothers August Aguilar and Tyler McKee stop by the studio to chat films and their new release, “Cindy’s Birthday Party”. In what is probably our most memorable Story Time yet, Tyler’s character Chip takes us on a ride! Saddle up for some belly laughs.
Strange Films has released five short films with more on the way! Keep up with August and Tyler at El Burrito Blog! We’ll be seeing these guys more and more in the coming months… 😉
Mabry-Hazen House Director Patrick Hollis visits the studio to talk about some nifty Knoxville history and tells us the tragic tale of Evelyn Hazen. Wh–

“No seriously. I was promised a historic douche. I need answers.”
And you’ll get them… in the podcast! 🙂
“I trusted you.”
You shouldn’t have.
Author Andy Peloquin calls in as a guest to discuss his writing process and the importance of doing good research. Tom and Whitney run Andy’s character “The Hunter” through a wild bout of Story Time.
Wait, I know. There’s three hosts, so let’s invite three stand-up comics on as guests for our third show ever! We’ll jam ’em all in the studio with us (and The Producer). There’s no way this will end in tears and suspicious liquids.
Aaron Chasteen, Boston McCown, and Tyler Sonnichsen stop in to talk about the creative process as stand-up comics. We chat about writing jokes for a crowd, and everyone tells their Most Cringe-Inducing Tale of ‘Bombing’ Onstage. Story Time takes the crew to perform for a Cthonian crowd of strange, yet familiar faces.
